Because human decency doesn’t apply to you guys because I replied to a post (which is on the internet so I deserve a say in it, however I was not in rude in the original reply) right here. Politely and in a neutral tone.

The original poster proceeded to call me a “stupid motherfucker” seen here. I then responded in a rude tone (which I apologized for acting poorly in response which you obviously didn’t get) I have proceeded to get threats and called a homophobe (Because I don’t like a part of a shipdom that draws underage characters in a sexual situation or writes about it. Which is technically child pornography. REGARDLESS OF SEXUALITY OR GENDER. You all seem to miss that point.). All while being called stupid and dumb in repeated posts by tarecgosa, which you can find on her tumblr in the first few pages.

I then let it die, walked away, sent her an apology for my behavior (which was mostly in response to her and her followers/friends) and spent some time with family, went to class, went shopping. I then come back to my message to revolutionator who had  threatened physical violence “I’ll fight you” (of course it was a joke but a very poorly executed joke. And that can be found right here.

Then of course I had responded that it wasn’t a very intelligent way and mature way to handle a problem and this image proceeded in the notes.

This is not okay. You do not get a free pass just because a friend of yours is being “bullied” (Believe me, I know what bullying is, I went through my childhood being bullied for my weight, looks and financial status. And on my previous tumblr I was told to “go die” “go kill yourself” “do it attention whore.” in response to posts about my depression and then eventually a “I hope you get raped in the ass my a 2x4 and beaten black and blue).

I dropped this.

I apologized for MY actions. I took responsibilty that I lashed out because I was being attacked because it happened previously.

But you are all making passive aggressive posts, threatening violence, and calling me a “piece of dogshit” (that was my favorite)

Stop acting like victims and take responsibility for your own shitty actions.

Today is the 105th International Women’s Day. The theme this year is “The Gender Agenda: Gaining Momentum.” 

It’s hard at times to keep the movement forward in focus given the war on women’s rights on the past year. For every piece of good news, there is a piece of bad news. The good news is the President Obama signed the Violence Against Women act yesterday. The bad news is that there are 22 members of the United States House and 31 members of the US Senate who voted against it.

In the micro level of comics it also seems like for every two steps forward there is one step back. 

But let’s focus on the positive today. Let’s focus on the things that make us happy and give us hope. 

What is it in superhero comics that you think is worth celebrating for women, right now? What best represents how you want to see women portrayed. Please let me know. You can see what others have said in the past this blog and I welcome your submissions.
